What Local Weather Means for Toyota Care

Flooded and broken roads are hardest on the parts that hang lowest under your Toyota.

  • Broken pavement or debris can strike the exhaust pipes, muffler and suspension parts underneath and loosen or damage them. Afterward you may hear a louder exhaust or feel the steering change.

Frequently asked questions

Which areas do you serve for Toyota work?

We work on Toyotas at our two shops in Houston and Stafford. Bring your car to our Houston shop or our Stafford shop, whichever is easier for you to reach.

Which other makes do you work on?

Alongside Toyota, we work most on Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Honda and Jeep. If you want to see all of them, see the full list of makes we service.

What is the most common problem with Toyotas?

Exhaust work, alignments and brakes, depending on the model. Among the Toyotas we see, the Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner and Corolla come in most for muffler and exhaust repair, the Camry and Avalon for wheel alignment, and the RAV4 for brake repair.

How reliable are Toyotas?

Toyotas stay on the road a long time. The ones we work on run from 1980s model years up to 2026, and most of what we see is 1998 to 2019.

Why is my air conditioning blowing warm air?

Your AC needs refrigerant under pressure to cool the air. A leak at a line or seal lets that refrigerant escape. Once the pressure drops, the compressor, the pump that moves the refrigerant, may stop running and the vents blow warm.

What does an exhaust leak sound like?

It often starts as a ticking sound when you step on the gas. A cracked pipe or a blown gasket lets hot gas escape under the car. As the hole grows, that tick can turn into a loud roar.
